The knowledge and science that our forefathers had, they
passed on through oral tradition - RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Our religion runs according to science, and science is
beneficial for humans, so there is a need to have such a religious book, which
has both religion and science. By the way, there is a need for a religious
book, which can live up to the test of both religion and science. RSS chief
Mohan Bhagwat is envisioning such a religious text and he mentioned his vision
in a recent speech and also made people aware of this idea.
Mohan Bhagwat said, “It is a religion that gives us balance
between body and society and it is also a religion that teaches us to make
choices. Our religion runs according to science, and for science to be
beneficial to man, it needs religion, so science was brought to the fore,
science was inculcated in our traditions."
Bhagwat said that we have the world's research in every
subject, there is something or the other done by our forefathers. And that
search is the search done by us, which has been going on in our traditions.
Meaning, our tradition acted as a conductor of the discovery made by our
forefathers. Our tradition has been in the role of conductor of the research
done by our forefathers.
He said, “Earlier we did not have scriptures here, the
knowledge and science that our forefathers had, they came through oral
tradition. And later the texts came. Those scriptures also moved from here to
there or went away. Meanwhile, some selfish people also came and made some
punches in our books. This is absolutely wrong.
Mohan Bhagwat further said that therefore now it is necessary
to review once again the knowledge of these texts and tradition. After review,
which will stand the test that it is both science and religion and is
beneficial knowledge, it can benefit mankind, then we will need to keep it.
