only strong and fearless opposition leader of the Congress and India at the
present time. But, the membership of Lok Sabha of Rahul Gandhi has expired.

MLA from Karnataka filed a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi in the Surat
Court of Gujarat. The BJP MLA had filed a case in the year 2019. A
few years later, the petitioner MLA took a stay on the case filed by him. But,
in February 2023, he suddenly removed the stay from the case. And Rahul
Gandhi was called to appear in the court, after which the court sentenced him
in March and within two days his membership was also cancelled.
