Government jobs and free rations have come face to face in the Bihar elections.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav is emphasizing the issue of employment and has made it a key plank of his election campaign. Meanwhile, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders, including Amit Shah, are frequently highlighting the central and state governments' free ration schemes at rallies. According to them, the central issue in Bihar is "free rations."

Tejashwi Yadav has announced a promise to provide a government job to every family. He has made it clear that if the Grand Alliance forms a government government, every family in the state without a member holding a government job will be provided with a government job. He claims that a new law will be introduced within 20 days of forming the government and implemented within 20 months.

The NDA is finding this promise to be an exaggeration, and the NDA is calling it illogical. Let me inform you, Tejashwi Yadav made a similar promise in the last election. And this time too, he has promised a large-scale expansion of government jobs, claiming that millions of jobs were created during his 17 months as Deputy Chief Minister.

These promises by Tejashwi Yadav have created a significant wave among the youth. They are desperate for jobs. Tejashwi has made employment a central issue in this election.

He has explicitly promised that if the Grand Alliance comes to power, every family (where no one has a government job) will be provided with a government job. A law for this purpose will be enacted within 20 days of forming the government and implemented within 20 months.

Tejashwi Yadav is highlighting the issue of employment in his speeches and rallies during the Bihar elections. Tejashwi clearly stated in his election rallies that employment will be the primary issue in Bihar. Therefore, he has asserted, "Vote for me, and I will give you jobs."

However, the NDA has completely rejected this. NDA leaders are not talking about jobs at all. They are sharply criticizing the leader who talks about jobs. They are calling Tejashwi's promise false and hollow. NDA members are criticizing Tejashwi's promise of jobs, calling it a "hollow promise" and "irresponsible," and are calling the issue of "free ration" a good one.

In response to Tejashwi Yadav's promise of jobs, NDA leaders are talking about free ration. Amit Shah and other leaders repeatedly point out that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the central government is providing 5 kg of free ration (grain) per person to 81 crore poor people across the country, including crores of people from Bihar.
