The ruling party may have put an end to the Pahalgam terror attack by calling it Operation Sindoor, but the political Operation Sindoor in India is still going on by the opposition leaders. In the BAC meeting of the Rajya Sabha, the opposition has demanded a two-day discussion on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, news has come out.
Not only this, the opposition leaders have targeted the BJP Prime Minister, PM Honorable Narendra Modi, who keeps running away from the discussion, this time they want to include PM Modi. The opposition has put up a demand to ensure the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this discussion.
During the Parliament session, there were continuous uproars in the Upper House on this issue and amid the uproar, it is reported that this meeting was concluded under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Harivansh.
In the
meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Rajya Sabha, the
opposition demanded a discussion on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation
Sindoor. The opposition said that there should be a 16-hour discussion on this
issue in the Rajya Sabha for two days from next week and the presence of Prime
Minister Narendra Modi should be ensured.
This meeting
took place during the monsoon session, in which leaders of various parties,
Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha J.P. Nadda and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Kiren Rijiju participated. The meeting was chaired by Rajya Sabha
Deputy Chairman Harivansh.
This meeting
was earlier proposed on Monday, but it was postponed due to the resignation of
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on the same evening. After the meeting, Deputy
Leader of Congress in Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari said that the opposition
unanimously demanded that the discussion on the Pahalgam attack and Operation
Sindoor should be started from next week. He said that there should be a
discussion in the Rajya Sabha a day after the discussion on it begins in the
Lok Sabha.
Pramod Tiwari said that this should be a normal debate, no proposal should be brought. He told, that the opposition demanded the presence of the Prime Minister and the government has assured that the Prime Minister will be present. He said, I hope the Prime Minister will be present during the discussion on Operation Sindoor.
