A video surfaced on Thursday (August 1) in the suicide case of Nitesh Singh (38), wife of ASP Mukesh Pratap Singh posted in CID in Lucknow. In this, Nitesh is seen venting her anger over the rift with her husband on her 12-year-old son Aniket suffering from autism.
An FIR of murder has been registered in Mahanagar police station against ASP Mukesh Pratap Singh posted in CID in Lucknow. This case has been registered on the complaint of the brother of ASP's wife Nitesh. On Wednesday, Nitesh's body was found hanging from a noose in his residence in Lucknow Police Line. Apart from the ASP, the FIR also includes the names of his parents, brother and sister.
Nitesh's brother Pramod Kumar, originally a resident of Nagla Karan Singh in Firozabad, had filed a complaint against the ASP and his family members in Mahanagar police station on Saturday night. It is alleged that Nitesh was murdered as part of a conspiracy.
According to the FIR, Nitesh was married to Mukesh Pratap Singh on 30 November 2012. Mukesh is a resident of Bhimnagar, Ajitnagar, Etawah. Nitesh has three children, two of whom are twins. It is alleged that a few years after marriage, Mukesh had developed a close relationship with Poonam, a resident of Ashiana.
Due to this, Mukesh constantly harassed Nitesh mentally and physically. Nitesh had informed Pramod and his parents about this. Nitesh had told that Poonam's husband talks to her over phone and messages and meets her outside the house.
Pramod explained to his sister every time citing the future of the family and children and sent Nitesh back to Mukesh. It is alleged that a complaint about Poonam was made to Mukesh's father Ramesh Chandra, mother Sudha, brother Anubhav Chandra, but they supported the accused.
Due to this, Nitesh started feeling troubled. The accused started beating Nitesh every day and harassing him mentally and physically.
According to Pramod, on July 29, Mukesh along with his sister Aastha had beaten up Nitesh. It is alleged that the dispute started over the same woman. During this, the accused had told Nitesh to either leave the house or die somewhere.
Pramod was informed about this by his niece Ananya on July 30 at around 3 pm over the phone. Ananya had also told him that Nitesh was hanging from a noose. After receiving this information, Pramod reached Lucknow Police Line at night and Nitesh's body was lying on the floor.
Pramod alleges that when he reached the police line, Mukesh's family members were not found there. It is alleged that Mukesh and his family members had beaten up Nitesh earlier too. The accused pressured Nitesh for divorce and murdered him as per a plan.
