Election Commission refutes Tejashwi Yadav's claim. Tejashwi is present in the voter list.
Leader of Opposition and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav claimed on Saturday that his name is not in the revised draft voter list published on Friday in the electoral state of Bihar. Immediately, the Election Commission shared Tejashwi's details from the voter list and immediately refuted this allegation.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made a big allegation on the Election Commission on Saturday. He raised questions on the voter list revision and claimed that my name is not in the voter list. In such a situation, how will I contest the election?
Tejashwi opened the Election Commission's app and showed it to the press and said that his name is not coming in the voter list when his EPIC number is searched.
Challenging this claim of Tejashwi Yadav, the Election Commission said that his name is in the voter list draft. And to confirm its answer, the Election Commission released a list of polling stations, in which Tejashwi's name is present at number 416 with his photo.
After which the Election Commission has made the information public on its social media platform and wrote that it has come to our notice that Tejashwi Yadav has made an absurd claim that his name is not in the draft voter list. His name is recorded at number 416 in the draft voter list. Therefore, the RJD leader's claim is false and factually incorrect.
Tejashwi Yadav, while addressing reporters in Patna, said that about 20 to 30 thousand names have been removed from every assembly constituency. In total, the names of about 65 lakh who about 8.5% voters have been removed from the list.
He has said that whenever the Election Commission used to issue an advertisement, it used to be written in it that so many people have moved, so many people have died, so many people have duplicate names. Now in the list that the Election Commission has provided to us, they have cleverly not given the address, booth number and EPIC number of any voter, so that we cannot find out whose names have been removed from the voter list.
