It has been ten to twelve days since floods hit Punjab, a state located on five rivers in the west of India. Punjab has been flooded since 26th August. Now the flood waters have started receding. This money has not been given by the Modi government. Modi government should consider returning sixty thousand crore rupees to Punjab even at this time.
Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Manish Sisodia told the media that officially the central government owes 60,000 crore rupees to the people of Punjab, out of which 58,000 crore rupees is GST and there is also money. It is money for rural development.
Senior citizens of Punjab also say that Punjab is in a dire situation today. Punjab needs huge financial help today. In this hour of disaster, the Modi government at the center should immediately return Rs 60,000 crore to Punjab and on top of this, the Modi government should give another Rs 60,000 crore to Punjab as help in this disaster.
